Mari is a very cheerful girl. She loves adventuring and nature. Her past is mysterious, when she was a newborn baby she appeared at her Step-Mother Sarah's doorstep in a basket. Sarah raised Mari as her own and she now works at her delivery company. The citizens of Mari's hometown Spruceside Isles are always delighted to see her as she always makes her deliveries with a smile. Mari's favorite part of Spruceside Isles is the forest that she's been exploring since her childhod, she is such a common sight there, that the local wildlife is used to her.
Shortly after turning 18, Mari started having strange dreams. Not long after she met her arch nemesis Yamita for the first time. After defeating Yamita the first time, she kept running into her and during her adventures she set off on to stop her she's been learning more about her past. Her most recent discovery is that she is the daughter of the Oracle of Nature who died shortly after Mari was taken into Sarah's care.
Now that Mari knows who she is meant to be, she's trying to figure out how to meet expectations of an Oracle while balancing her regular life as well as ocassionaly saving the day from Yamita and other foes who show up.
Not only that she has been entrusted as the guardian of the Encyclopedia of Dimensions, a book keeping records and balance of different dimensions in the multiverse. The pages from this book have been scattering around the multiverse and it has been one of Mari's many goals to find the missing pages and restore them before the balance of the multiverse begins to shift.

Yurei is a ghost of a young child who has been murdered during an attack on an annual carnival. 300 years ago the south beach of Sunglaze Island was a place full of life, however during a war over the land of the island the attack that killed Yurei turned it into a graveyard for its victims. Before the attack happened Yurei's mother purchased a rose from a seller who claimed the rose had magical power, they both doubted it but they thought it looked nice enough.
When Yurei woke up she realized she had been turned into a roaming ghost, a type of ghost that can be seen by human beings and is able to roam the Earth once entering afterlife. At first she was sad about this but one day she managed to scare a person who was passing by and found it funny, this turned it into her only form of entertainment. She was too afraid to leave the graveyard for 300 years, as she didn't know how people would react to her but one adventurous girl who happened to pass by the graveyard might be able to change that.

Dana is an independent scientist who has her own lab built by her own hands. She is passionate about her work, very handy with tools and is able to construct her own machines. However despite her knowledge and handiness, she tends to overthink things and get worried about tiny things a lot.
In the past, she used to be a teacher in the Spruceside Isles High School. One day she wanted to help her students understand robotics better so she constructed a mech that she could show off. That backfired when the day came as a group of delinquent students stole the controls of the mech and started causing chaos. This incident made Dana leave the school to keep the students safe from any more incidents like this. After she left her teaching job she managed to crowdfund a lab of her own in Sunglaze Island and constructed it herself. Now she's making great discoveries and sharing them with the world.
One day, her robots started going haywire and acting on their own. When she managed to destroy one of them she discovered traces of dark magic. At that moment she knew who to call for help, one of her past students, Mari. Since then Mari and Dana became good friends and with their strenghts combined they traced the dark magic to Yamita and stopped her plans. Not long after as Dana was exploring the island where her lab is situated for samples she could study a bright light blinded her path. When the light disappeared she saw a book laying on the ground. Not just any book, the Encyclopedia of Dimensions. She entrusted Mari to keep it safe.

Grayson is a guy who doesn't get scared easily, he tends to get a bit too cocky for his own good sometimes though. He likes to tease those around him, but he always does so out of love for his friends.
In his high school days, Grayson was a part of a delinquent student group who would cause trouble all the time. One time the group targetted Mari who was in her junior year at the time. Not long after, nearing his graduation he realized how wrong what he has been doing was and decided to leave the group for good. After he graduated things went downhill for him. His father got sick and keeping him medicated took a big hit on his family's finances. Grayson had a hard time finding a job so out of desperation he began stealing. He hated that he was doing what he was doing, every theft was filled with regret. That's when a beacon of hope shined on him when he was offered help from Yamita in exchange for capturing her arch nemesis who Grayson didn't realize was Mari at the time. When he delivered he found out he was tricked by Yamita and helped Mari escape. Together they foiled her plans once again. Mari seeing Grayson's situation decided to help out by offering him work for her step-mother's delivery company. Grayson was touched by Mari's kindness, despite their not so great past. So much so that he fell in love with her. However once he confessed, Mari only saw him as a friend.
To this day the friendship between Mari and Grayson remains strong.

Clover is a very quiet type of person who's nervous around new people. Despite their shyness though, they're not afraid to step up when their friends are in danger.
Clover grew up on a tiny island called Seagull Isle which, as the name suggests, is mostly inhabited by seagulls with one tiny village of people in the middle of its jungle. The jungle of Seagull Isle is also home to many types of parrots, one of which is a cockatoo which Clover befriended when they were little and named her Chloe.
Occasionally they get a visit from their cousin who happens to be Grayson. They have always gotten along well. Clover also partly helped Grayson realize the wrongdoings of the group he was part of in high school.
Clover's favorite activity is hanging out with Chloe and exploring the jungle. It's due to them exploring a jungle that they found themselves finding a long unused entrance to the underwater city of Prism Globe where they also met Mari. It was thanks to their shared interesting in exploring nature that they got along quickly and Clover played a big role in helping Mari find pages of the Encyclopedia of Dimensions in Prism Globe.

Yamita is a self-proclaimed "Queen of Dark Magic" who won't stop at anything to achieve her goal, ruling the world.
Yamita was born to a small group of remaining Dark Magicians who have been imprisoned and taken advantage of by a corporation that shows care for humanity but hides a deep dark secret. One time when this group stopped being useful to the corporation, its leader ordered the workers to dispose of them. Yamita however managed to escape leaving her as the last remaining Dark Magician. Since her torture in the corporation she has swore to get revenge on humanity by either ruling it or wiping it off the face of the Earth.
After mastering her magic she attempted to steal the Stone of Balance, a powerful artifact helping keep balance in the world. That plan ended up being foiled by Mari. After that failure she realized that Mari would be a pain in her side and thus made plans to get rid of her first.
During one of her attempts she found out Mari had the Encyclopedia of Dimensions and this made her realize something, she didn't have to just rule the Earth she could rule the entire multiverse. And thus what at first was a plan for revenge, turned into a lust for power, the very thing she swore to destroy.

Troy used to be one of the delinquents in High School alongside Grayson who he had a close bond with. However after Grayson left he felt bitter and betrayed.
After graduating high school he found joy in mercenary activities. Not only did he not quit any job until it was done but his work was always efficient and well done. He knew a lot about the world, from legends, to places, to the deepest secrets of it. This expertise got him a lot clients interested in his work, one of these was Yamita. Together they set out to seek any legendary stories about powerful beings or artifacts.
His knowledge isn't always accurate though and his lack of patience can sometimes lead to unwanted scenarios. Yamita does not cut him any slack on that front. Needless to say his relationship with Yamita is purely business.

Sarah is a very caring step-mother to Mari. She also runs a mail delivery business which has been a great success.
Sarah was still very young when she moved together with her boyfriend to a new home. Her boyfriend then left to serve in the army where an unfortunate fate had met him. This had Sarah in a very low point. Not only was she crushed by the loss of the person she loved, she had plans to marry him and start a family together. Her financial situation wasn't great either due to the massive debt she and her boyfriend got into when getting a loan for their house. Then when all seemed bleak the bell at her door rang. When she went to check there was a child with a letter and an envelope. The letter was asking Sarah to take care of the child and inside the envelope was enough money to pay off her debt. The child felt like a blessing and she decided to name her Mari.
Since that day she has raised Mari as her own, though sometimes she can be a bit too worried about her child, sometimes even overprotective. Still the relationship between the two is as strong as one between a mother and a daughter should be.
